Our small farm is only a few minutes drive away from Skipwith Common, which includes some waymarked trails for you to enjoy. Below are some ideas of where to visit:
- Skipwith Common NNR (dogs to be kept on lead or can run off their lead in a special Canine Car Park & Walk area
- Little Skipwith Carriage Rides horse drawn carriage rides around the private grounds of Escrick Park Estate
- Lower Derwent Valley NNR (no dogs allowed) – you can see their blog with some lovely local wildlife pictures
- Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens – please check their opening times on their website, they also hold workshops and events – dogs welcome in grass car park
- Wheldrake Ings Nature Reserve (no dogs allowed)
- Cycle the Solar System to York – a short drive to a car park or for those who cycle regularly you can start from our CL
- Fishing at Oakmere , Westerly Lake & Raker Lakes
- Explore the Heart of Yorkshire – a new website showcasing a range of activities and experiences that the Selby District has to offer
- Naburn Locks with nearby Waterfront Cafe at Naburn Marina or Blacksmith Arms (dog friendly)
