In Spring 2019 we will be working on providing a new pot washing & dog or cycle washing area. These will be located near the office, which is next to the Recycling area. There will be an honesty box to help with running costs for the gas bottle, boiler & water (we are on a meter).
Pot Washing Area – This will consist of a catering sink which you will be able to use to wash large items including bbq’s e.g. Cadac’s. There will be hot water and a catering sink, please clean up after you have used.
Dog & Bike Hose Area – Outside the pot washing room we will also install a hose pipe which you can use to wash off any dirt after walking your dog/s or cycling. Please note that although this is a working farm we only have a few sheep and on the whole it isn’t muddy, but if you go on the walk to Skipwith you do go down farm tracks which ‘may contain mud’ 🙂

We have recently been given permission to walk along a couple of tracks near our farm to allow our caravaners to walk to Skipwith Common or the Drovers Arms. This is a permissive path and the access can be withdrawn at any time. Please respect the farmers, gamekeepers and landowners. Dogs must be kept on a lead due to ground nesting birds and the local Estate Shoot, there are also livestock in Skipwith Common including Hebridean sheep, Longhorn cattle along with Exmoor ponies.
Details of the paths & maps are in the log cabin information pack.
We have recently been awarded the Northern Regional CL of the Year for 2017. We thank all our caravaners/friends for supporting us over the past few years and a special big THANK YOU for voting for us. It really means a lot to us to know we are providing a really good CL Site where most of you return 🙂
New toilet extension to the cabin
Work has now completed on the second toilet, to the left of the cabin. One of the comments by our caravaners was to have a second toilet or a toilet seperate from the shower. So Stuart & Bill got to work on creating our own extension, as we couldn’t find one that was suitable.
We are very pleased with the results and hope our caravaners are too 🙂
Inside the new additional toilet extension
Our caravan site is dog friendly and we now have a new small area where you can let your dogs have a run off the lead. The area does have 5 bar metal gates, so if your dog is small it may be able to crawl through. Please avoid using the area if your dog isn’t well trained, as it may attempt to escape 🙂
We just have a few rules to keep everyone happy:
- Don’t leave your dogs unattended
- If someone else is using the paddock, please ask before you take your dog in the paddock (their dog may not be as social as yours)
- Clean up after your dog
- Please don’t climb, or lean over, the fence or gate
- Avoid using the paddock if your dog isn’t well trained, as it may attempt to escape
Thank you 🙂
We are very proud to announce that Field House Farm CL has won the Northern CL of the Year in 2016 and first place in The Caravan Club’s National CL of the Year Awards in 2015. This was voted for by The Caravan Club’s members and we presented at the House of Commons in 2015.
A big THANKYOU to all of our fellow caravaners that voted for us in 2015 & 2016! We were surprised to win the National Award in our second year of opening. We’ve really enjoyed meeting all of you 🙂
We look forward to seeing you in 2017 and beyond!
